Geraldine, Don’t Fight The Feeling

I was only a really little kid when Geraldine came on to the scene, but I loved her. She was sassy, saucy, fashionable and Flip Wilson in drag…good stuff for early 70s television. One of the magical things about Geraldine was the way she moved and her facial expressions, both of which are obviously lost on this record which is a recording of her television show with some long, not totally funny, skits with Ruth Buzzi, Tony Randall, Bing Crosby, Tim Conway, Phyllis Diller and Jim Brown.

Hopefully my choice to only share tracks that I like will not bother too many people. I’m just offering the meat and in this case it came down to  soundbites of Geraldine talking her good shit instead of including whole track that include stage business with no dialogue.
